The Intern for GatorVision produces, shoots, and edits video content for multiple platforms (social media, TV, website, videoboard) associated with UF athletic events, teams, and initiatives. Content includes but not limited to highlight/hype videos, feature stories, and special projects. Assists with event coverage and media opportunities for all sports. Fulfills video requests from outside media entities; assists with training and supervision of student volunteers; helps manage department social media accounts. This position is production-focused, with on-air opportunities potentially available for qualified candidates. This is a time-limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. This posting closes on March 1, 2019.
Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, telecommunications or related field, and experience in a television production environment required. Experience with videography and Adobe Premiere Pro is required. Experience with additional Adobe Creative Suite applications, as well as prior experience in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment is preferred. The ability to work a non-standard work week which will include nights, weekends, and holidays and extensive overnight travel is mandatory. The ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds is essential.
