AVAILABLE: May 13, 2019 – March 13, 2020 (start/end date is negotiable) SALARY: $14.22 per hour minimum. Total compensation for this position is up to $16,000, which is paid at a rate of $14.22 per hour. Staff members are also eligible for additional performance bonuses based on ticket sales goals. This position is not eligible for benefits. The Ohio Ticket Sales Team (started in 2012) has a record of seeing employees successfully move into full-time employment following their completion at OHIO. Many past sales team members are now involved in positions throughout collegiate and professional sports.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The position is a ten (10) month postgraduate part-time term position. The position will be involved in the strategic development, implementation, and activation of ticket sales and marketing strategies, with a core focus on Football and Men’s Basketball. This position is part of the Ohio Ticket Sales Team in partnership with Legends Sales & Marketing (Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees) and the Ohio University Center for Sports Administration. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist in the development and execution of departmental sales and marketing strategies (including reaching sales targets and goals), manage, create and track sales databases, develop call scripts, as well as call-flow, objection and closing strategies, direct prospecting and lead-generation efforts for season, individual game and group sales, analyze sales data and develop postseason recaps of selling efforts, and assist in the execution of game day sales and marketing efforts. Each staff member will also assist with game day promotions at all home OHIO Bobcats football games. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
