The Director of Compliance for Athletics reports directly to the Associate Director of Athletics – Compliance and assists in developing, implementing and managing all aspects of a Division I compliance program. This position will be responsible for completing initial academic workups for the admissions office and serving as a liaison for the department through the admissions cycle. The position serves as the institutional liaison to the NCAA Eligibility Center, overseeing all initial eligibility initiatives. In addition, the successful candidate will monitor activities in the areas of NCAA bylaws 11, 13, and 17. This position will also manage the athletic department book program including educating book store staff and implementing policies and procedures. This position will work closely with the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance in the structure and oversight of the intern program. Additional duties include providing rule interpretations, coordinating department use of the compliance functions of athletics compliance software, providing rules education and processing various compliance forms.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Director of Athletics, based on successful candidate’s talents and expertise. The successful candidate will also adhere to all institutional, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
