Working closely with the Director of Annual Giving in the Duck Athletic Fund, the development assistant will support the execution of emerging annual giving campaigns and annual giving stewardship. This position will support fundraising efforts, including: direct mail, email, telefund, crowdfunding, Day of Giving, student-athlete thank-a-thon and annual giving stewardship. Priorities include drafting marketing materials for direct mail, email and printed materials in addition to web development and social media campaigns.
The development assistant will collaborate with a variety of departments including the ticket office, IMGL, marketing, facilities, various sports programs and development colleagues across campus to coordinate events, schedule engagement opportunities and support DAF initiatives. This position will require outstanding organizational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills. The Development Assistant will be asked to contribute creative, innovative ideas to maximize fundraising efforts, provide enhanced stewardship and increase donor engagement.
Responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA.
Minimum Requirements • Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and • Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, public relations, communications, advertising or related field. • One year of annual giving experience, fundraising experience, or experience in related field in lieu of direct fundraising background. Experience in segmentation and multi-channel solicitation development. • Two years of professional or volunteer experience in development or fundraising OR experience in a closely related field such as corporate sales. • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate development events. • Experience with Ticketmaster, Salesforce and Domo software. • Graphic design skills, skilled in Microsoft Excel, WordPress website development and various social media platforms. • Former Division 1 student-athlete.
