Saint Francis University, a Division I member of the Northeast Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Athletics Communications. The Assistant Director of Athletics Communications will be responsible to the Director of Athletics Communications for assisting with publicizing the 23-sport Division I intercollegiate athletics programs at Saint Francis University and all aspects of the Saint Francis Athletics program.
The Assistant Director of Athletics Communications will be the primary media contact for select sports. The candidate will be responsible for keeping statistics, programs, game notes and press releases in a timely and effective manner; will conduct press conferences and act as a liaison to media for select sports administer and manage website (www.SFUathletics.com).
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Excellent computer, organization and communication skills are necessary. At least two years of experience in sports information/athletics communications professional level, required. Experience with desktop publishing (InDesign), graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator), video editing (Premiere, IMovie) is required. Experience with StatCrew software-particularly for football, basketball and volleyball is preferred. Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Saint Francis University, the NEC, and the NCAA.
