The Athletics Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Facilities and Events Coordinator to join our team.
Under direct supervision of the Associate Athletic Director for Operations, this position entails administrative custodial care, maintenance, scheduling, and coordination of all athletic facilities. Work involves making decisions regarding maintenance, scheduling of facilities and the effective use of personnel and resources.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Ensures facilities are operational, cleaned and supplied for each scheduled event. * Supervise daily, periodic and special maintenance activities. * Responsible for organizing, coordinating, and completing all aspects of game management for assigned sports. * Prepare and oversee budgets for athletic events and facility improvements. * Assist with scheduling of facilities. * Coordinate and maintain computerized master schedule of events for all intercollegiate athletic programs and athletic facilities. * Coordinate facility projects and secure bids using proper University procedures. * Responsible for performing maintenance and facility checks on a daily basis. * Maintain artificial turf, turf equipment, practice fields and Athletic Department grounds. * Manage contracts as necessary for athletic facility rentals and with event service providers. * Serve as championship administrator for Conference USA Championships as assigned. * Serve as project manager for facility improvements as assigned. * Responsible for Athletic Department inventory. * Other duties as assigned.
