Auburn Athletics is seeking applicants for the Athletics Communications Intern position. The position will serve as the primary contact for softball and other sports/duties as assigned. Responsibilities will include daily functions of the athletics communications department including event coverage, media coordination, writing press releases, editing/creating social media content, historical and statistical upkeep, utilizing StatCrew and maintaining biographical information on coaches and student-athletes.
The candidate will have effective communications skills, both oral and written as well as working knowledge of desktop publishing skills.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism, communications, public relations or a related field.
This will be a 12-month appointment.
