ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to): The Graphic Designer will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following: • Update in-game digital creative for social (gameday, halftime score, final score)
• Motion graphics for in-stadium displays (scoreboard / ribbon board) and social graphics • Digital/social banners, web skins and email marketing graphics • Assist in the design of marketing materials.
• Incorporate the use of Miami’s brand standards and be an ambassador and protector of the Miami brand.
• Help with social media strategies
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • The designer will work closely with the Assistant A.D. for Athletic Communications to develop the creative needs of Miami Athletics. • Will assist in the design of all marketing materials (digital). • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing. • Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team • Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contacts • Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills • Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands • Will keep appropriate information confidential
• At least 1 year of experience in digital design and motion graphics looking to gain hands on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment • Must have previous experience as a Graphic Design intern, student intern or in a Graphic Design position • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and motion graphics • Superior organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects • Has a strong portfolio and elevated sense of design, color, and typography • Self-starter; ability to multi-task in a highly energetic and fast-paced environment • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to professionally communicate with all levels of staff, management, coaches and players. • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
