The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Creative Content Production Assistant. This is a contract, full-time position with a targeted salary of $35,000/year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. Under the supervision of the Sr. Creative Content Production Assistant, the Creative Content Production Assistant shall develop, write, produce, and edit feature content on UCLA coaches and student-athletes and disseminate the information to the public via the UCLA Athletics social media channels and website, in an effort to publicize the UCLA Athletics brand. The Creative Content Production Assistant will also generate daily content for social media and/or the website by creating short social features and graphic-heavy videos. The Creative Content Production Assistant will also staff home events and travel with team when deemed appropriate by the Associate Director, Multimedia & Creative Content.

All applicants should demonstrate the following abilities: Strong editing skills with quick turnaround; Creative and artistic storytelling experience; Strong working knowledge and skill in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop; Strong knowledge of creating or manipulating motion graphic templates; Strong social content knowledge of sports multimedia market; Strong understanding of sports market content demand; Strong knowledge of sports and LA culture/trends; Graphic Design experience is strongly preferred; Skill in editing for spelling, punctuation grammar; Skill in interpersonal communications and collaboration; Strong news judgment; Skills in effective communication (written, phone, in person); Skills in effective and organized research; Ability to prioritize work assignments and media value; Ability to make sound decision under pressure; Ability to plan and execute specific PR campaigns; Ability to follow and understand NCAA guidelines and rules; Skill in the photographic process.
