The Associate Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Service is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of a progressive, service-oriented team charged with ticket operations and sales.
This position will develop and implement comprehensive ticketing sales, service, retention and analytics strategies, including proactive sales campaigns, development of donor packages, and collaboration with leadership and fundraisers to advance ticket sales.
The Associate Athletic Director provides leadership and strategic management of ticket department operations, overseeing budget, creating revenue projections, and managing ticket office personnel with a focus on retention, development, and a staff commitment to executing and implementing best practices related to customer service and CRM management. This position will analyze operations in both the sales and service areas of ticketing, with a focus on increasing paid ticket sales, developing season ticket holder retention plans and successfully executing special ticket plans and promotions. This role collaborates with the marketing department on sales plans, outreach, and interpretation of analytics and with outbound sales team on setting objectives for ticketing staff.
Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Development and Tickets, this position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Athletics department, including adherence to all department and university policies and procedures as well as those of the NCAA and Pac-12 Conference. This position collaborates with athletic department leadership in establishment of overall sales and revenue goals and pricing strategies and will continue to develop the ticketing office in an innovative manner aligned with industry best practices.

Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business, marketing, or a closely related field. • Four years of relevant experience in a professional sports or collegiate athletic department in a revenue generation field of endeavor. • Experience leading sales and customer service staffs in sales, tickets, or marketing departments. • Knowledge and experience with advanced analytics programs relative to sales, tickets, or marketing.
Professional Competencies • Significant experience leading sales or ticket office staffs with demonstrated ability to improve customer service. • Experience with Ticketmaster & Salesforce. • Demonstrated ability to create successful ticket sales and/or revenue generation campaigns. • Demonstrated ability in successful hiring and training employees in a sales or customer service environment.
Preferred Qualifications • Excellent project management skills. • Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately and to communicate effectively with a diverse population. • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
