The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking a Web Video Intern. This intern is responsible for managing the day-to-day activity on OhioStateBuckeyes.com, the Official Athletic Website of The Ohio State University with an emphasis on digital video content for Ohio State Athletics digital assets. Will establish, schedule, staff and manage Buckeye Vision, the official multimedia subscription-based service which offers both live and on-demand video and audio streams of Ohio State Athletic events. Will work closely with all coaches, department heads and staff members to keep website information accurate and up-to-date. Will collaborate with Athletics Communications, Creative Services, Fan Experience and Video Services areas to create digital video content and update online information for all 36 varsity sports. Will assist in the operation and fulfillment of the online auction feature hosted on OhioStateBuckeyes.com. Duties will also include assisting the sales and marketing staff to fulfill their online needs and accomplish their online goals. The ideal candidate should have a creative and innovative technical mind in order to keep OhioStateBuckeyes.com an industry leader. The individual should be motivated and self-driven to provide remarkable experiences to visitors of OhioStateBuckeyes.com. It is essential to be able to work within a team structure.
This is an entry level, career based internship and is intended for professional development of an applicant with only 6 to 24 months practical experience. This position is focused on furthering knowledge and skills in the field of website development. Internship positions are appointed on an annual basis (with the possibility of renewal; 2 year maximum appointment). This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Required skills include: Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video editing software, knowledge of Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, NewTek Tricaster Mini or similar livestreaming/production software, experience with audio/video equipment, strong organizational/communication skills, a genuine commitment to The Ohio State University Department of Athletics and to providing remarkable experiences to visitors of OhioStateBuckeyes.com and Ohio State Athletics social media channels.
Desired skills include: Experience with HTML, experience with Adobe Photoshop or similar programs and knowledge of a collegiate athletics department and the NCAA structure.
Position will require a flexible work schedule based on events including evenings and weekends.
