Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi is seeking applicants for a 10-month Multimedia Intern. This position is heavily involved in video production with additional opportunities in graphic design and photography. The position is scheduled to begin August 1, 2017, and continue through May 31, 2018, with the possibility of a summer extension. Screening of applications will begin immediately.
The Multimedia Assistant will serve as the department’s main contact for video production with additional opportunities to contribute in areas of graphic design and photography. The Multimedia Intern will be the primary liaison with the department’s Islanders Broadcast Crew – a student-run organization that oversees live streaming for all soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball games on the Islanders Digital Network. The Multimedia Assistant will also serve as producer of Islanders Insider – the department’s television show, airing on Root Sports Southwest. Other duties include producing television commercials, creating web-based features and assisting with local TV stations to disseminate Islanders footage.

Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in sport management, journalism, communications or a related field required. Successful applicants should have significant experience with video editing, and preferably with a student-based live broadcasting organization. Prior experience with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as computer abilities are essential. Position requires working nights and weekends and travel with assigned teams. Applicants that are interested in pursuing a career in intercollegiate athletics are best-suited.
Additional Salary Information: $1,200/month for 10 months with the possibility of a paid summer extension
