Texas State University is seeking applicants for the position of Athletics Equipment Intern. This position is a full-time benefits eligible position.
The Athletics Equipment Intern is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the equipment room. Duties include performing apparel and equipment inventory; performing equipment check-out and check-in; assisting with equipment maintenance to ensure safety and effective performance; assisting with practice and game set-up and breakdown; daily communication with coaches, trainers, student-athletes and student equipment managers; complying with NCAA, Texas State and State of Texas rules and regulations and other duties as assigned by the Athletics Equipment Manager.

Required: ability to provide clear, concise written and verbal information; ability to understand and interpret university policy and procedure manuals; ability to establish rapport with internal and external constituents; ability to work evenings and both days of the weekend
Preferred: Bachelors’ degree; previous work experience in an intercollegiate athletics equipment room with addt’l consideration for football; knowledge of sports equipment and equipment safety with addt’l consideration for football
