Education and Experience:
Master’s degree is required.
A minimum of one year work experience in an athletic academic support setting is required.
Experience teaching learning strategies (e.g. tutoring, academic support, advising, and teaching K-12) to student or adult populations is strongly desired.
Experience supervising, recruiting and/or training tutors is desirable.
Work experience in higher education is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of NCAA rules and best practices in facilitating a tutor program.
Must demonstrate local connections to tutors and tutor programs for recruitment purposes.
Strong relationship building, oral and verbal communication skills for a diverse campus population.
A strong customer service orientation with attention to detail is essential.
Candidate must possess strong time management, organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Must also possess strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze problems and devise solutions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is essential; GradesFirst experience is a plus.
This position will require occasional evening/weekend work during the academic term.
