The University of Tulsa is seeking a highly motivated, outgoing individual to fill an 11-month (July-May) Full Time Production Assistant position within the athletics video department. Primary job responsibilities include assisting the Director of Video Services in running and maintaining The University of Tulsa's athletics entertainment video department, CaneVision. The department’s primary functions include running the schools three (3) video boards (football, basketball, and softball), producing the department's two (2) televisions shows, streaming all non-televised events, and covering the school's other non-big screen sports.
Editing responsibilities may include but are not limited to creating graphics, backgrounds, head shots, highlight videos, promos and other video productions. This job does require full time weekly schedule as well as nights, weekends and holidays based on the schedule of the teams, or deadlines as needed.
This position allows for a tremendous amount of hands on experience and responsibility towards running a video department. Once completed, the individual will have a vast working knowledge of all areas of sports video production.
Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of experience with Non-Linear editing system such as Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, Avid, or other editing software required; working knowledge of broadcast level equipment such as cameras, lights, switchers and other production equipment, as well as knowledge or experience working with specialized video production software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Aftereffects, etc. are a plus.
This is an internship program that does not include full time benefits or reimbursement for moving expenses.
