Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director
4 Year Degree
The position is responsible for all external revenue generation with the Department of Athletics including annual gifts, capitol gifts, marketing, media relations and ticket sales.
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual gifts for the Islander Athletic Fund from University alumni, friends and businesses and professionals through face-to-face visits, phone calls, e-mails, written proposals and other direct and indirect contacts. Prepare contact reports, budget, and other reports requested.
Plan, coordinate, implement and manage all athletic fund-raising activities by working closely with the Athletic Director and the Athletic Department staff.
Plan, coordinate, and manage at least two major fundraising events each year.
Oversee staff and operations within Athletic Media Relations, Corporate Sponsorships, Athletic Marketing and Ticket Operations.
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales, management, or in closely related field.
Four (4) years of related experience.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner with diverse population of customers in person, telephone, or e-mail.
