Primary Purpose Responsible to support the Athletic department’s marketing and promotional efforts to enrich game-day experience and assist in increasing revenues and attendance to athletic events. Nine (9) month position with possible renewal based on identified funding.
Essential Functions 1. Assists in developing and implementing in-game promotions for home athletics events. 2. Assists in the marketing and promotion of home athletics events, with the purpose of increasing attendance. 3. Assists in the management of the Department’s social media outlets. 4. Assists with scheduling national anthem singers, color guards, and other performers for athletics events. 5. Assists in the supervision of student staff. 6. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
At least two years of post-secondary education.
Some experience in marketing, media or promotions; experience may have been during academic scholarship or internship.
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably related to marketing, sports management or related field. • Basic proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and related software used in production of marketing materials; • Working knowledge of NCAA, Conference and University of the Pacific rules and regulations; • Familiarity with social media outlets, basic understanding of marketing techniques; • Excellent oral and written communication skills; • Ability to work collaboratively in team environment; • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work successfully with all levels of the organization and diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.

Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Work performed in standard office or athletic venues. Work required during non-standard business hours, also requires evening and weekends.

Additional Salary Information: Min $15.29 per hour to Mid $19.81 per hour, non-exempt
