The University of Iowa Department of Intercollegiate Athletics seeks applications for an Intern for its Football Video Unit. The University of Iowa is a NCAA Division I Power 5 institution and a member of the Big Ten Conference.
Responsibilities: The purpose of this internship is to attain the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to compete for a professional level position outside of the University of Iowa.
The Football Video Internship provides practical work experience within the Video Unit of the University of Iowa Football program. The Intern will assist the Director in overseeing the football program’s audio/video needs, including practice and game coverage, film breakdown, video exchange, post production videos, and audio/video setups and video productions needed throughout the football operation.
Basic knowledge of coaching video software, e.g. XOS, DV Sport, Hudl
Basic familiarity with projectors in order to setup and replace units.
Basic knowledge of computer IT issues, including XOS servers.
Willingness to work outside business hours in order to cover events/practices
Some experience in shooting video on Panasonic P2 cameras with a working knowledge of various camera brands and styles.
Basic knowledge of software editing programs, e.g. Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere
Basic familiarity with other software programs including adobe creative suite for various archival, post-productions, and marketing purposes.
Terms of Employment: This is a 100% time, temporary position. Salary is $24,000 per year and includes a single health/dental plan.
