The Department of Athletics is seeking a Deputy Athletic Director for Capital Projects and Internal Operations. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Athletic Director.
The mission of the OSU Department of Athletics is to provide opportunity to young people and develop leaders through a tradition of academic and athletic achievement in a progressive, inclusive environment of mutual respect. The Deputy Athletic Director (AD) for Capital Projects and Internal Operations serves as the lead building manager and capital project leader for all athletic facilities. The Deputy AD has oversight of the Event Management unit, which includes all home intercollegiate contests and special events (i.e. facility rentals), performs administrative and budgetary functions, and serves as one of the liaisons between Athletics, Facilities, campus special interest groups and outside contractors. This position will provide sport supervision for Football, as well as provide leadership in the development and execution of the department’s strategic plan.
Five years experience working in collegiate athletic administration.
Senior Management experience (Athletic Director/Sr. Assoc/Deputy Director level only).
Experience in Capital Projects at an NCAA Division I institution.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Experience at an NCAA Power 5 institution.
Experience in leading strategic planning.
Experience in facilities master planning development.
