The Assistant Director coordinates and supervises the department's event management, marketing and promotions and community service operations. Oversees management of all athletic events which includes the hiring, training, and supervision of all event staff and student employees. Meets with individual coaches to discuss game-day expectations and issues; supervises pre-game set up/post-game clean-up. Oversees and coordinates mascot operations and appearances. Coordinates and oversees all marketing and promotion efforts in support of athletic events. Oversees departmental community outreach efforts. Plans and coordinates special events, and oversees activities related to the Department's annual giving and sponsorship program. Perform duties in support of NCAA post-season bids and operations. Performs related responsibilities as required.
A Master's degree in education, recreation, business administration or a related field and two years of experience in intercollegiate athletics OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
