Operations, Operations - Academic Support, Operations - Development
Ball State University is accepting applications for a full-time professional position to provide learning and development support for all student athletes, while supporting advising function and other department programming. The desired start date is March 24, 2017. Major responsibilities: Design and facilitate training for mentors, academic support staff, and other department staff regarding learning development, identification and strategies to address learning styles and instructional methods. Develop and implement learning materials that will assist students of different learning styles and abilities.
Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, at least one year of experience in education or related area.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in peer tutoring and developmental education; experience with assessment of academic preparedness; experience working with at-risk students at a collegiate level, preferably in an intercollegiate athletics environment; knowledge of Banner, DegreeWorks and/or Gradesfirst; knowledge of NCAA Rules; knowledge and application of learning strategies and study skills.
