GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Be responsible for all aspects of coaching and help to direct the Ranger College Men’s Soccer Program. Recruit an assigned number of male student athletes. Participate in academic advising and registration. Assist with divisional duties including but not limited to program planning, budgeting, scheduling, and facility maintenance.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
1-2 years experience coaching soccer, preferred
Perform duties of a head coach of a collegiate soccer program
Help in recruitment of student athletes
Must have developmental plan for academic success for student athletes in the program
Understand student athlete’s welfare
Maintain discipline and adherence to Ranger College policies and procedures
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Strong organizational skills required
Able to work in a fast-paced, busy student-oriented setting
Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
Able to initiate and complete tasks within demanding time limits

The main campus occupies a 50-acre campus within the city limits of Ranger, an Eastland Cou...nty community of approximately 2500 people, located on Interstate 20 between Fort Worth and Abilene. The beautifully wooded, rolling hills and many lakes provide ample opportunities for hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation, while the City of Ranger boasts an excellent school system and several active churches.
The campus in Ranger serves several counties in north central Texas and awards the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science degrees. Students on campus may live in the college's dormitories and enjoy the college dining facilities or live at home and commute. In addition to the Ranger facility, the college provides comprehensive course offerings in Brown County in Early and in Erath County in Stephenville. Ranger also has available cosmetology programs in Brownwood and Stephenville. Comprehensive Vocational Nursing programs are offered in Brown County and at our center in Comanche. The college also operates a Commercial Truck Driving program.
